Bacteriology

Bacteriological testing can be an important tool when making diagnoses. With a view to responsible antibiotic-use, bacteriological testing continues to increase in importance.

We have a bacteriological lab in our practice. Based on sensitivity tests and antibiograms, we can quickly detect problems.

In order to guarantee the quality of our lab, we participate annually in the ring tests for poultry organised by the GD, the Veterinary Health Service in the Netherlands:

• Bacterial Identification Poultry: identification of germs
• Antibiotic Susceptibility of Bacterial Strains: generation of antibiograms
